Join writer, visual artist, and cartoonist Hasanthika Sirisena at “Freeing the Muse: A Creative Symposium & Workshop” in Kefalonia, Greece for her seminar on “Everyday Ephemera,” a multi-genre workshop where attendees will learn how mixed media (including drawings, photographs, postcards, artifacts, and more) can unlock the stories and essays within.

We’re excited to highlight Irene Theotokatou as an instructor for “Freeing the Muse: A Creative Symposium & Workshop” Irene is an actor-director, writer, poet, and artist whose poetry and short fiction often focuses on the retelling of Ancient Greek myths. Since returning to Greece, she co-founded Sirens, a bilingual theatre company that created and performed work on relevant issues.

We’re thrilled to welcome freelance journalist and nonfiction writer Hannah Bae to Kefalonia, Greece as an instructor for “Freeing the Muse: A Creative Symposium & Workshop!” She’ll be teaching a course on “Writing Deliciously” which is sure to inspire creativity.
Hannah is the 2020 nonfiction winner of the Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, a 2024 New York State Council of the Arts grantee in literature, and was a nonfiction juror for The Kirkus Prize!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Bill Releford to Kefalonia, Greece, as a guest speaker at “Freeing the Muse: A Creative Symposium & Workshop” this September! Dr. Releford is a distinguished podiatric surgeon in high-risk populations, both domestically and internationally. He is the founder of the Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program, which has screened over 30,000 men and in Black-owned barbershops nationwide, and the author of “Five Colors a Day to Better Health.”
