Variant Spotlight: 25 Club™️ ♣️ Last but certainly not least, the 25 Club is a chroma with an inlay and radial splatter. The colors were specifically chosen to compliment the artwork. The inlays feature limited edition poker style cards from a custom deck where the only suit is clubs; designed by @garfff_ who also created the album artwork. Each card has a custom design that represent themes from the album. They symbolize the gamble and chase— the subjects on the record take in finding ‘the club’, not knowing what the outcome will be when they enter, or leave. With its surrealist arc and analog charm, @radder.all & @muzzyfossa ‘s The Club Is Open is as much a psychedelic head trip as it is a reflection on self-image, friendship, and the fantasies we chase to avoid our own stillness. Variant Spotlight: Supernova™️ 🌟 The Supernova was originally manifested by Tyler Lanning while working at Gotta Groove Records. He modified a Space Cake build and viola! This is particularly tricky to get to work correctly— as you have to press it in such a way that does not let the colors homogenize. Maintaining color separation requires the right heat and speed, to get the marbling juuuuuust right. The partnership of @radder.all & @muzzyfossa behind The Club Is Open grew slowly over three years: long nights in the studio, obsessive attention to detail, a shared desire to push beyond nostalgia into something stranger and truer. Variant Spotlight: Space Wave™️ 🪐💫🌊 The Space Wave is a combination of 3 different variants: Space Cakes, Party Monster, and Colorwave. It’s derivative of the Space Monster which was a recent addition to our repertoire. It’s another variant that takes a lot of effort and care to prep for, and even more so when an inlay is added to the mix. It is @thescarycanary ’s personal favorite of this run, with the Evil Eye being its only competitor. Thematically, @radder.all & @muzzyfossa ’s album The Club is Open explores what it means to lose yourself in the pursuit of identity, desire, or connection—and what remains when the mask comes off. It’s funny and existential, lush and handmade. ‘The Club Is Open’ is out now. Listen to it everywhere. A surreal and psychedelic journey. The record follows two characters searching for The Club. A mythical venue embodying indulgence, escape, and ego. In their pursuit, they’re transformed by performance itself, swallowed by personas, and ultimately guided into a dreamlike plane of atonement. By the end of the record, they surrender to metamorphosis, dissolving into plants as a meditation on identity, rebirth, and letting go. The music video for ‘Duplicity Life’ is out tomorrow. ‘The Club Is Open’ from @radder.all & @muzzyfossa is out tomorrow. This was the quickest song to come together for the record. We wrote it in about two hours, drum machine, bass guitar, and synthesizer. It’s the first track on the album and the final track we wrote for the album. The video is self shot and directed, and features footage over the years from international travels to Italy, Hungary, and Austria, along with a few U.S. locations.  The song explores the feeling of living two different lives, socially, romantically, emotionally, sexually, and in a personal and business sense. Living life in extremes, the balance between dark and light, this theme and tension plays itself out on the remainder of the record.  The guitar work on this track from @mercirule is so tasteful, a perfect nod to Nile Rodgers and his work with Sister Sledge, and some of the sounds heard on Elton John’s “Rocket Man.” In the video we use a green screen and some fun with costumes. Juxtaposing imagery of an old man and young man, the devil and god, comedy and tragedy masks, and party guys versus businessmen.
