How it all started.
My inspiration to create multifunctional furniture started with my FYP which was centred around creating modular furniture that is affordable for people staying in rental housing.
Living in a public rental flat in Singapore, space has always been a challenge. There is simply not enough space for a full set of furniture. Furthermore, majority of the furniture in the market are designed to fufil just a single function. Affordability is always an issue as well.
Due to the constraints of space, people living in rental homes tend to use whatever furniture they have at home to double up for furniture they may not have e.g using an ironing board as a study table. Hence, I wanted to create modular pieces that you can build to fit whatever function you need within the space without sacrificing comfort.
