Hollywood’s Obsession with Saturn this year is a major sign for all of us going through a Saturn Return!
Lock in and if you want to learn more, check out my latest article in my bio 💋
Was this supposed to be a much earlier part of the Husband Issue? YEAH. Did your favourite himbo husband just figure out how to use substack to maximise how this magazine works? YEAH!!!! Link in bio to read the full article!
I’m digging into Saturn and Film and you should read it because everyone is already giving you advice about a Saturn Return, why not take mine?
Paid subscribers to the Substack get to support the work and build community with people who care about the intersections of art and divinity. Lurkers get the joy of lurking and still get this medicine!
How’s your Saturn return going, my love? Lemme know below!
since y’all wanna play Devil’s Advocate so bad, we have a resident spotlight for you! Every month, we feature an advocate for the Devil and this month we got: Missus Beaute-Liquer
Missus Beaute-Liquer serves a great purpose for us all, to do the work we don’t want to do. To be a source of spinelessness and the audacity to do nothing for the sake of doing nothing. Listen to her words of nothing and lack of wisdom and be inspired to be anything but an advocate for evil 😈💋

Before y’all get caught up on my tiddies—let me tell you who I am instead of what I’m not. I used to use the term “non binary” with English speakers until I realised all that tells you is what I’m against (the binary) and not what I’m for (beyond gender).
I come from an interfaith, indigenous Vietnamese identity that my Hoodoo practice also affirms because of the deities who have claimed me. I am transmasc, hau dong, and not your woman not now not ever
That being said, i believe in a life for gender expansive people where our breasts do not have to be bound and an image of androgeny that centers my people instead of the standards that have and continue to k*ll us
You might have heard “making a film is like hosting a wedding” and so we set out the inverse is true because our marriage is a Co creative force, just like our professional life.
We used our indie filmmaking impulses starting with raising funds over the 2 years we were engaged. We were our first investors and enlisted help from our friends, families, and vendors just like we’ve done before.
When you use a creative framework for planning your wedding, you put yourself and your vision first without (as much) ego or shame. I found myself gaining confidence not only in how I articulate myself to creative partners when things were going well, but in the hard times when so much was out of my control. So much of moving through this world as Black, Trans, and Queer lies in pursuing your vision in the face of people who have never seen the realities we face. We are culturally literate in a language many refuse to understand or acknowledge has existed long before their own history.
The greatest thing I learned is I gain so much more when I stop catering to the middle. When I stop meeting people where I wish they would be and instead center the delight of my love and my knowing.
It’s none of my business if you are confused about me, my role as a husband, our marriage and if it is “enough” for you in any way. My business belongs to my ancestors and the legacy of the ancestor I will become.
Reiki Infused Poem for this Moment.
I haven’t written a poem in a min and it came through me for a reason. I’m ramping up free offerings next week for protection, ancestral connection, relief, and stewardship. If you need anything, hit me up.
Poem transcript incoming!
