When I first became Muslim in 2002, I placed a picture of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on the wall inside of my prayer room at home, and I would make du‘a asking Allah to bless me to visit Madinah and Makkah one day, alhamdulillah I never imagined years later, that I will be living in Saudi Arabia and with the opportunity to visit both holy places multiple times. May Allah accept it. Never underestimate the power of dua 🤲🏽
Alhamdulillah for Allah’s kindness and mercy. May Allah make us among the grateful, forgive our sins and grant us a good ending.

When I walked away from the music industry, I also walked away from future money that was owed to me and guaranteed to come my way. I had to make a choice — I couldn’t keep one foot in the game and one foot in the masjid. So I put my trust in Allah, and alhamdulillah, Allah has always been generous to His servants.

Poetry runs in my family. This is my great-uncle, Carlito Quiñones from Puerto Rico. I didn’t grow up around him and never knew he was a poet. He told me that my great-grandfather whom I also never met, used to also write and recite poetry in the Spanish language on the island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Turns out, it’s been in my DNA all along 🧬 💪🏽🤲🏽
