When you become a participating museum with Museums For All, you give visitors access to a world of discovery and experiential learning. Alongside increasing accessibility to local visitors, many participating museums also find that the Museums For All initiative has allowed them to forge connections with community partners and invite conversation with their team on how to build inclusive practices. Want to join over 1,200 museums from across the field in creating museum experiences that are accessible to all? Check out our link in bio to register or learn more about Museums for All. At Museums for All, we believe everyone should have access to high quality museum experiences! A museum visit can inspire the development of new skills and interests, ignite creativity, and enrich social connections. They are foundational in creating lifelong habits of learning! By addressing financial and logistical barriers to visitation, Museums for All also aspires to be an effective strategy for mitigating the social and academic barriers individuals face, while simultaneously raising public awareness about how museums in the U.S. are reaching their entire communities. Since our launch in 2014, 1,200 museums in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands have joined the Museums for All initiative! We've been able to have a positive impact on over 8 million museum visitors who use SNAP benefits, and it is inspiring to see so many museums joining us in our mission to make museum visits accessible to all. We believe in access and inclusion, and building lifelong museum visitation habits has massive value for visitors of all socioeconomic backgrounds. Studies from the museum field show that early access to informal learning opportunities offered by museums and other cultural organizations lead to a positive impact in children's development and academic performance, and this initiative also gives museums the opportunity to forge connections with their community. Thinking of joining Museums for All? We'd love to have you! Link in bio to register or learn more today. #MuseumsForAll #MuseumExhibits #MuseumAccessibility #SNAPbenefits

Many museums and other cultural access initiatives offer free admission only on specific days or months during the year. Museums for All museums offer a discounted rate—to those receiving SNAP benefits—at any time, every day the museum is open to the public. That's the Museums for All difference! We're passionate about giving visitors of all socioeconomic backgrounds the ability to immerse themselves in museums and build the habit of lifelong learning. Five museums in the Sacramento area just joined Museums for All! Please give a warm welcome to @thecamuseum , @crockerart , @smud_mosac , @sackids and @sachistorymuseum . With over three local museums participating in the Museums for All initiative, Sacramento is now considered a Hub City! Hub Cities are communities with at least three Museums for All participating organizations, and in some Hub Cities, those museums work closely with one another to support and elevate the collective Museums for All work. We are excited to see a new Hub City on the West Coast, and we encourage participating museums in Museums for All Hub Cities to work together to maximize their impact. Interested in becoming a Hub City? Check out our Hub City resource page! Find ways to connect with your local SNAP Office, templates for easily sharing the Museums for All initiative with your community, and more. Link in bio.
