MEET US! ✨✨
Introducing Muse Movement founders part 2 - Celia.
Celia’s dance journey began when she was 3 years old. She started taking classes in the typical trio of styles: ballet, tap and jazz but her passion for dance developed as her love for ballet in particular developed and she dreamed of being a ballerina. At the age of 14 this dream became serious and she was training to become professional at this young age. However, a change of circumstances meant that this dream had to be put on hold.
Despite this, she continued to train, grading in all 3 styles and dancing en pointe. She also began teaching ballet to the younger students in her school, which she loved and especially loved performing in multiple dance shows. But when it came time to go to university she sadly had to have a break in her dance journey.
Struggling to find adult classes at a high level, she started becoming more and more interested in lyrical, commercial and heels styles. She had been following these styles and her idols on YouTube for years and dreamed of finding classes like them, but the town she was in didn’t have any classes to offer. So she kept watching and even started choreographing in these styles, trying to learn for herself and satisfy her creativity. When she moved to Bath however, she found an exceptional class with a former royal ballet dancer as well as commercial and heels classes in Bristol. Exactly what she needed and despite coming back after a break, she kept training, pushing herself and improving all the while choreographing as she was learning. After a couple of years of growing, performing, attending many heels intensives and courses, and re-discovering her movement style from her ballet training, she started teaching with Alex and it has been incredible.
Celia’s choreography is always grounded in technique from ballet though this does not limit her movement language in her choreography. She is inspired by individual songs, their genre and vibe, the sounds within them and the way the sounds layer. She also loves the way that heels styles in particular empower you to move and express yourself, so there will always be a bit of sauce thrown in too 😏
MEET US! ✨✨✨
Introducing Muse Movement founders part 1 - Aleksandra.
Aleks, originally from Poland, started her journey with dance training at age 13, when she went to her first dance camp and fully fell in love with it. Initially as a calm hobby, but later when moved to the bigger city, she started more intense dance training first in styles jazz, modern jazz and contemporary.
During her dance education she was a part of 2 competition dance teams in modern jazz (one in Torun, one in Warsaw) with which they won few Polish national competitions in modern jazz mini formations and managened to perform on the stage of Polish National Opera.
In Warsaw she started developing in different styles - mainly commercial, hip-hop and high heels and to those style she then committed her training. She also practiced the ballet technique under the supervision of Polish National Ballet soloists. During all her dance education she attended a lot of international workshops, dance camps and variety of dance styles classes. Aleks was a part of multiple dance projects within her dance journey.
She received her dance instructor qualifications in the complete course by Polish Sports Academy.
Developing a big passion to the high heels dance she attended few complete high heels courses, This style allowed her to build up the confidence and femininity in dance. In her choreographies Aleks is focusing on the diversity, movement flow and quality, technique, mixing variety of styles into the heels dance, but also on the possibility of expressing yourself, emotions and finding the personal style.
