From Detroit, Chicago, and NYC—give us a reason, and we’ll celebrate.
Today it was a birthday. A referral. A few people gathering for what they thought would be only a fragrance experience.
We started with a toast.
But what stayed with me…was watching a family talk about each other through scent.
A son describing his mother—not in words we’re taught, but in feeling- through scent.
A husband sharing how he experiences himself and his wife, through scent.
A wife/mom reflecting on her fragrant rituals…
No one reached for the “right” notes.
No one tried to impress.
It was instinctive. Honest. Real.
Fragrance became the language they didn’t know they had. I watched how they learned more about each other through that moment.
Some things you smell.
Some things tell you who you are to the people you love.

Presented in an exhibition-style format, this wasn’t about marketability or margins—it was about what happens when creativity leads.
Experiencing fragrance in this way challenged me to think beyond curation—and more about creation. About what it looks like to build from instinct, not limitation.
This stayed with me.
April moved fast—and we moved with it.
From Paris to Cipriani in New York, it’s been a whirlwind…in the best way.

To be in a room filled with innovators, creators, educators, and historians—people helping shape the present and future of fragrance—was more than wonderful!
A special thank you to @linda_g_levy for including our pre–Fragrance Day celebration in the luncheon preview. Seeing that evening—our effort, our gathering, our community—reflected in a room like that was a full-circle moment.
