The mise-en-scène at Pastel Patch,
@allthingsbabyindia ’s first brick-and-mortar store, reads almost scenographic. Bombay’s candied skies drape the background against which lofty palms sway, the city’s clangour blurring as one saunters across the promenade, where the 4,000 sq ft experience centre finds its home.
Glowing like a warm ember held within its ebony skeleton, the realisation of this Parel outpost challenges the very tenets which rule how retail destinations interact with patrons. The sculpted concrete and mosaic-studded installation by
@hsc_designs resembles an animated juggernaut, if you will, its form punctuated by jhoolas (swings), multi-height seats, and slides, making it a communal haunt for grown-ups and children alike.
