📅 Just 2 days to the Festival, and it's our final day of project highlights: this time looking at two solo shows about home and self...
🌱 Written and performed by Murri Lazaroff-Babin, "Camp Fire Stories" is about home and memory... and the attempt to conjure both. Most of all, it’s an homage to the thousands who lost their homes in the 2018 Camp Fire in Northern California.
From Lazaroff-Babin:
"I began developing this piece while in grad school in 2022, before I knew what the subject matter would be... Over the past couple years I've steadily continued to create, have small showings and feedback sessions to learn more about the piece and deepen its content. I'll be touring the piece this summer at Fringe Festivals across the country and abroad."

🌱 Descend into "Dave's Basement" - a solo sketch comedy show by David Weber that walks the line from despair to delight. Mr. Basement invites you to join his cast of characters in a concrete palace of the mind. Featuring enchantments such as: grandiosity, sincerity, amusing scenarios, audio-visual mayhem, and (at least) one person on a stage.
From Weber:
"'Dave’s Basement' emerged, quite literally, from my (Dave’s) basement... During the 2020 lockdowns... all the artists I knew were itching for a way to keep creating, myself included. So I launched 'Dave’s Basement,' a weekly online 'variety show of a video nature,' streaming live from my basement. It was an attempt to, in my own small way, give people a venue to show creative work, a place to gather safely with friends and like-minded folks, and a reason to keep making things while everything was falling apart. We were all hiding from the world; Dave’s Basement was a place where we could hide together."
