Absolutely had to post these, photos taken on film from @saskolantiago bday a few weeks ago. These are the ones of me, the rest will be posted by him on his account. But I wanted to share the ones of me on my page, as these photos made me very happy.
Also yes, its #vintage 🕺✨️
New profile pic, photo of me taken by @saskolantiago
Similar to my previous one, but updated with the much better photo of myself. Photo edited in Lightroom, background added in photoshop.
More photos of the background image exist on one of my previous posts, its one of my favourite drawings I've done, which is why I chose it for the background image.
After a few months of chipping away, I have finally finished this drawing. Each section represents certain experiences I've had during college, during tree planting, and one from last summer. I think that's ambiguous enough of a description, or perhaps more obvious for others. Especially to the very special select group of people in my life, with whom I've shared these experiences.
Thrifted two pairs of vintage Wrangler jeans for $15, both made in the usa. One is worn and the other is deadstock. My assumption is the original owner bought two pairs, wearing through one with the intent to wear the other. Both were donated to the thrift store, with one having never being worn.
Both are tagged as a 38x32, but measure closer to a 36x34 on the deadstock pair, and 36x32 on the worn pair. Very pleased to have found these, I primarily wear vintage clothing so having nice new, crisp pair of vintage jeans makes me very happy.
I'm glad they fit like a 36 waist, as all my 38 waist pants are too big on me since the weight loss.
These were originally purchased at Peavey Mart, a store chain that recently shut down. I assume these jeans were made sometime in the early to mid 90s, based off of some research into vintage Wrangler jeans.
I do intend to do more clothing oriented posts here as well, since they're a big hobby of mine.
Reposted because the lighting got way better and was able to take a nicer photo of myself in them.
January and a bit of February, many things done and seen. The year has only begun, many more experiences yet to come. "Any major dude will tell you"~ 🎸🎶
Also, down to 203lbs, in 2024 I was pushing 260. Very happy with my progress 😎 (although none of my pants fit me anymore and that sucks since I had some favourites, but theyre 2 sizes too big on me now).
2025! What an unexpected year this was. Started the year off with no plans whatsoever and yet so much change happened. Leaving Thunder Bay, quiting my job and moving to Winnipeg this summer was one of the best decisions I've made in my life so far. This year would not have been the same without my friends and family. I know it's cliché but without them I would not have been able to do the things I did this year. their motivation and support is what guides me and keeps me going. This year I started getting into better shape, going to the gym 3-4 days a week while also eating healthier. I got to work on an actual real film set for the first time, finally putting my diploma to use. Got to spend a wonderful four day camping trip this summer with my Thunder Bay lads before I moved away. So many experiences and so much more to write about in this post but I will end it with the knowledge that 2026 will be a banger year, with lots more exciting and meaningful things to come. I'm looking forward to what this new year brings.
Finally finished this one. Spent a few weeks working on this drawing and was unfinished for a while until yesterday. Very happy with how it turned out, I've started on my next drawing already! A handful of references to things in this one, some are places and events only some of my close friends shared back in college.
Current project I've been working on. Been slowly restoring this late 1950s, early 1960s H&A sportswear perfecto-style leather jacket. Fixed the zipper, and re-sewed the belt which the thread had disintegrated. The leather is a very dark brown, almost black in most light. The pockets are unique in that they each use a different colour corduroy lining. The zipper pull tab on the angled pocket is missing. Many thanks to my buddy Santiago's mum, who found this thrifting last week. I'm amazed by the luck of finding something like this at a thriftstore.
Walked to Assinaboine Park and back with mah boy Matteus, we saw a lovely orange cat before we got there who was very friendly and got lots of pets. (chunky fellow pictured at the end of the post).
