Today I met a very large Romanian brown bear.
Managed to scare the old chap away by waving a stick and giving him my best roar. He got very close… quite an unforgettable experience! Saw him about 15 minutes after I took this photo of a paw print. Didn’t get a selfie with him unfortunately… was too busy trying not to get mauled.
Compliments at space studios tomorrow.
After taking the crowd at field manoeuvres 25 through a deep two hour voyage we knew we had to book them to play in the fine city. Anyone who was there knows what to expect.

@sundaarc are known for their deep meditative fusions of both electronic and live elements with previous releases on Gondwana records. For this event they will be playing as yet unreleased compositions - that whilst staying true to the duos contemplative musicality are written with more of a dance floor focus.

This Saturday! In the words of marina of danu: It’s 26 years ago…that the Storm from the East compilation dropped on Moving Shadow; showcasing the pioneering drum n bass sounds on the ‘96 scene from producers who all happened to reside on the Norfolk/Suffolk east coast.

It was around this time that I first ventured over to Great Yarmouth for a knees up.
Nicky Blackmarket played a spectacular jungle set that night; it blew my mind & gave me shivers right down to my marrow.
For rave fam living in bigger UK cities it may have come as an unexpected surprise back then - as now - to hear that some key moments in rave history were made in outposts by the sea such as Yarmouth & Lowestoft.
But for many in the scene who played their part in forming East Anglia’s rave heritage - the promoters working with acclaimed local producers and dj’s - alongside the dj’s/producers who regularly travelled across country from their metropolitan home cities to play in towns like Great Yarmouth - and not forgetting the tribe of dancers from other counties following the trail to the east - the rave history is seen, known and never forgotten.
So many stories of LTJ Bukem & Peshay’s infamous b2b’s, PFM & Conrad holding the floor, Fabio & Grooverider’s earliest ventures into the rave sound, The Prodigy live in ‘93…Carl Cox, Mr C, DJ Hype, Ruffige Cru, Egyptian Empire…
All absolute gold.
Let’s make more stories to add to the timeline.
