When 2 legends come together, something extraordinary happens.
We were honored to host the team from Levi's @levis_sea and the super talented Noh Salleh @mohammadnohbinsalleh for the photoshoot of their latest range, Levis MIJ (Made in Japan) launching this month at KLCC, their largest store in Southeast Asia.
Echoing the same feeling towards the artistry and craftsmanship of handcrafted textiles, it has been a great experience as we share some of the process of indigo dyeing.

Aesop x MUNI
Thrilled to announce the opening of the new Aesop Store at TRX @theexchangetrx where we had to opportunity to handcraft our natural dye fabrics for this prestigious project.
The space is draped with these warm shade of earthy brown linen fabrics, hand dyed entirely from natural dye plants through a meticulous process that involves building multiple layers of colors.
Congratulation Aesop @aesopskincare on the opening of this beautiful store and thank you for giving the opportunity for MUNI to be part of it.

For @munimalism , working with natural dyes means accepting that no two pieces will ever turn out the same. Whether he’s working with indigo baths or developing colours from plants and organic materials, his practice is driven by a willingness to let time shape the final result. He also sees fabric as something far beyond clothing, treating it as a medium that can extend into installations and different forms of artistic expression—something he finds especially fulfilling.

We started our rimba study with a familiar silhouette, our iconic knot pouch. But in 3 original tones; Evergreen, Verdant, Willow — layered through indigo, tegeran wood, gambir, jelawai & manjakani.
Each ridge you see is stitched by us in the studio, line by line, giving the pouch its quiet structure and sculpted form. No two will ever fall the same way.
Limited release.
Made slowly, dyed by plants, shaped by hand.
