I got lucky with the rarest find today. A Columbia shellac player with commendatore Saleh Ahmed Checchia’s label. It is estimated that Comm. Checchia has arranged for 124 discs word of Ethiopian/Eritrean Music to be issued on the Italian Columbia print b/n 1938-39. Could it be his player?!?!?!
