Debut Night - last Friday, I had the immense pleasure to play some of my favourite music (Astor Piazzollas first quintet) with some of my favourite people (Anna, @lopezemmanuel00 , @leonardo_dimant , @j.will.i.am.son ), and one of my favourite instruments - Jasy. Jasy means "moon" in Guaraní and is a reference to both the timbre and the appearance of the instrument. Its interior (mechanics and reeds) was left abandoned and deteriorated without its original body/housing for many years - so I made it a new one, using veneer of the Guayuvira tree, which is native in the Guaraní region. Guayuvira literally means "elastic tree" - quite fitting for a bandoneon 🤭. Thank you so much to Joaquin @vbaudiovisual for the amazing takes! Two hearts - el sábado 2 de diciembre (en tan sólo una semana!) tengo el enormísimo placer y orgullo de estrenar nada menos que la "Sinfonia Estelar Tanguera" junto a mis compañerxs de @lamartino_ot . Y será mucho más que la culminación de un año de laburo musical en esta obra hermosa de @nehuenmartino , para mi es el casamiento de tantas grandes pasiones y amores, empezando por las estrellas, y la música tanguera nueva, pero también la fuerza tremenda de una fila bandoneones, solis de cuerda frotada para llorar, melodías romanticas hasta el cielo y locuras contemporaneas del espaciotiempo tan ajena a nuestra vida en la tierra. Y sobre todo y más importante: La transmición de una fascinación para el cosmos y la naturaleza en un idioma que todos entendemos tanto mejor que las palabras - la música. Así que con eso me callo - vengan a escuchar nuestra sinfonía, sean parte de este estreno mundial, traigan todos sus amigos y familia que va ser un evento único e inolvidable. Emotion Explosion | Buenos Aires. A bandoneon. A historic theatre. An opus of Astor Piazzolla. And a loss for words trying to describe my emotions in these 20 minutes 🥺. In his "Tres Tangos", Piazzolla combines the sound of his emblematic instrument with a string orchestra, piano, harp and percussion. The resulting soundscapes in the historic theatre of 25 de Mayo moved me deeply, and being surrounded by a team of wonderful people, fellow students and teachers of the @conserpiazzolla in this very moment made this night even more valuable for me 💚. Troilo's Treasure - Just casually opening, examining and playing Aníbal Troilo's orchestra-bandoneon 😱🥺😍 I would have never thought to hold this relic in my hands, let alone play it or have a look inside. It's production number #127 makes it one of the first bandoneons made by Alfred Arnold around 1911. Tango Orchestra Culmination | Extremely grateful for this amazing year in Buenos Aires and the possibility to participate in two great tango orchestras with my violin (@lunfardatango ) and bandoneon (Orquesta de Tango y Folclore del Conservatorio Manuel de Falla) =). This week, everything comes together in two shows which I am very excited about and would have never imagined to take part of. On wednesday evening, we have the honor to play in the famous Centro Cultural Kirchner ( @elcckofficial ) with the OTF orchestra, an event organized by our director Adrian Enriquez ( @adrianentrerios ), which is already sold out at this moment! The live performance will also be recorded and filmed. And the next night, on thursday, we present our first CD with Lunfarda Orquesta Tipica, under the direction of Fabian Bertero ( @fabianberterook ), in the renowned milonga El Marabú where Anibal Troilo played with his orchestra many years ago.
