What is freedom? It is about finding new avenues of expressing yourself without embarrassment.
When I moved to the Netherlands, I never thought I would 1) start performing comedy 2) enjoy it as much as I do now and 3) perform/crowd work in a bus that is ferrying around people to a museum night in Maastricht.
This is what I didn't know I needed: freedom to just exist in the awkwardness of doing silly things and making connections.

Hey, I have a comedy show next week. In order to sell tickets I have to make reels. This is not perfect, hell it's not even good camera work, but it's fun, vulnerable and gets the point across. That's the crux of the Good Damage comedy show with my friend @igr.olivr .

In November 2025, I travelled to Koln, Germany to perform at @boingcomedy and @topofthepotcomedy .

Anam Naqvi is one of the nine newbie comedians who made it to the finals of Tuna: Tiny Underground Newbie Award, the year-round competition where every month the comedy scene picks their Newbie of the Month.
With 2025 now behind us, it’s time to award the ultimate title: Big Fish, or Newbie of the Year.
After adding all the winners of Newbie of the Month we wanted to add a couple of comedians who made it far in the contest, but for various reasons did not grab the title. We asked relevant comedic voices in our comedy community to vote on a longlist of runners up and out of that Anam became one of the 2 wildcard comedians to join the final!
We hope to see more from her, and we’re in luck because winning tonight’s show grants her a place in the TUNA: Big Fish final on January 29th!

Sometimes reluctantly agreeing to adventure sports can lead to a mathematical coincidence you didn't know you needed.
Couple of weeks ago, after surviving a quadbiking route through the jungles and mud-laden tracks of Ubud, Bali, I took a shower and was eating some Bakso and guess who walked past? @mrrichardgadd who had also just finished the route.
To confirm, I went up and said "Hi". And that led to conversation that spanned from Baby Reindeer, to monkey forests in Ubud to dying on stage and raincoats.
It was a perfect end to 2025.
