Meet the people (and dog) behind your adventure...
We are Ryan and Lottie, and alongside our faithful hound Suka, we design, plan and guide our small group adventures in the mountains.
Ryan: loves skitouring, alpinism, mountainbiking, type 2 fun! At home you'll find him in the basement crafting his latest carpentry project.
Lottie: loves bikepacking, travelling, dogs, wild places, skitouring. At home you'll find her cooking up a storm in the kitchen!
Suka: loves adventures, running really fast, sunbathing and dentasticks. At home you'll find her fast asleep on 'her' sofa!

What to expect when staying in a mountain hut: Mountain huts come in all shapes and sizes, and are usually run by a couple who spend their summer up in the remote mountains catering for both day and evening guests.
1. Mountain huts are sometimes accessible by forest road, this usually means more day visitors, but a wider selection of food and drinks
2. But they can also be extremely remote. In these huts the supplies are often carried in by helicopter at the start of the season, or on the backs of the hut owners. Expect a warm welcome, but more rustic accommodation, with a delicous but limited menu.
3. All mountain huts will have a good selection of beer and soft drinks. Usually you will have access to a drinking water, but where the hut uses rainwater, or of it is a time of drought (common in the Dolomites) you will.always be able to purchase bottled drinking water.
4. Mountain huts are where you make new friends and share stories of the day's adventure
5. Switch off from the world and play games by candlelight, read your book on the terrace or stargaze.
6. Rooms are usually shared dormitories with bunk bed accommodation. Bring ear plugs, eye masks and hut slippers to make your stay more comfortable. Most importantly, dont forget your hut sleeping bag.
7. Most huts will have a boot room where you can leave your boots and any wet/muddy gear to dry out overnight. You can usually borrow some hut slippers!
8. In some huts private rooms are available, you need to book these well in advance.

Dolomiti dreaming .... what could be more perfect - after a long hike, you reach your secluded mountain hut. After checking in, you grab your book, an Aperol Spritz (other drinks are available!), and head for the terrace. As the sun goes down, the famous limestone peaks of the Dolomites light up a firey pink, lighting up the horizon.

Winter solstice. The shortest day of the year. We cram all of our outside time into just a few sunny hours in the middle of the day, and in the evenings we dream of long summer days.
But those dark cosy evenings give us a chance to reconnect. With our friends, family and community. We plan adventures, parties and van conversion designs! We let our dog get a little bit fatter and eat a few too many chocolates ourselves.
We cant wait for the summer, but for now, we are grateful for this time in our beautiful home, together 🙏
We spend our winter evenings prepping for our summer tours, and tonight the focus has been on The Glockner Trail.
Of course, this involved lots of reminicing about the epic adventure that we had on the trail in 2025, with a small but mighty group of hikers.
The Glockner Trail is wild, rugged, and remote. It corcumnavigates Austria's tallest mountain, and traverses the largest National Park in Europe.

Yesterday was our first snowshoe hike of the season and it's got us excited for Ryan's Allgäu trips in February!
Does the sound of daily guided hikes, through beautiful mountain landscapes, with a fun group of like minded souls sound appealing?
