A long time ago, we did a bonfire with @coneybow and her family. I had completely forgotten about the pics I took. What a shame I didn't share them any sooner. Those are amazing! There's some true pagan flames in there!

If you've never been Down Unda, you probably don't know about the texture on the roof of the Sydney Opera House. The grooves between the tiles were meant as a self cleaning process with rain water. The story of how difficult and controversial the building of the opera was has also been a little bit lost to our fading collective memory. The danish architect was fired over the exploding construction budget. And I truly believe that it's one of the most amazing piece of post WWII architecture.

Those past weeks I've been attending a few of my friend's film premieres. The most recent, Balle Perdue 2 from @guillaume_pierret , was quite awesome. To be released on Netflix on November 10th, this is an action packed car crash insane fest that is both gripping and exhilarating. The intensity of the movie is only matched by the sensory experiences I've had with The Bourne Supremacy or Mission Impossible: Fallout. Almost literally breathtaking and fun. Almost a shame that people will only be able to experience it on a TV screen (please not on a phone, please!) and not the big screen. The kind of experience that makes going to the movies such an experience. Great job The other two are short films I've worked a little on. I've animated the title for @robert_hospyan 's film, Uberlinks. The film is a funny, polished and ultimately sweet short film about relationships where he channels all his filmmakers heroes. From Spielberg's use of split-diopters and loners to Sorkin's walk and talk sequences and Nolan's non linear storytelling, this was a truly amazing film. And for the last premiere, this one for @skreemer 's short where I did a bunch of stuff in post production, including credits, titles, VFX and others. This one is an imperfect comedy that's also trying through some experimental sequences to blend comedy and a serious topic in it's own way. It might be flawed but I can't wait to help him on his next project and try to get him to tell the stories he wants to tell.

View of the Etna shot from the Teatro Antico di Taormina in... you guessed it... Taormina, Sicily. The damaged wall is a blessing in disguise, allowing a stunning view of the volcano. At the time, I suppose audience in the lower tier had no other choice than focusing on the performance rather than witnessing a potential eruption. I don't know.

It's Pride Day and I wanted to share that Lego set I was gifted a while back. It's a beautiful set but I have a few problems with it. First it's 18+ because god forbid Lego puts children in contact with "the gays". Second, there is a foreword from the creator - a gay man - in the building instructions. It clearly avoids using any words from the LGBTQIA+ vocabulary and I can picture the army of lawyers making sure no direct connection is made between Lego and anything "unsavoury". It's queerwashing/queerbaiting at its finest. EDIT: I forgot to add that there was no contact information for hotlines or associations and no pledge to various charities. Making it clear they were doing this just because it was trendy. Still a beautiful set though.

This beautiful lady, unfortunately no longer with us, was the sweetest and most loving cat I've ever met. She liked to be around humans, sitting quietly, listening in. And very cuddly but not too clingy. #catsofinstagram #cat #catstagram #cats #calico
