A sneaky snippet of recent work in progress in one of our 16 individual artist studio spaces - this space belongs to @pig_nut 🌿
Did you know MUD is pretty unique in its combination of specialised ceramic services + equipment and large individual artist studios? Our studio structure of roomy, allocated areas dedicated to each maker is based on art school floor plans.
Differing from the communal layouts that are often most practical in many of our fabulous community ceramic centres, each of our resident makers at MUD has a long-term, spacious corner or pocket that is entirely their own, in which to grow their practice, while still working amongst great company.
We’re so proud to offer our local makers this special blend of contemporary art style studio spaces, access to reliable onsite firing services, AND community support - all inside the same quirky 1940’s commercial building 🔥
For more information on our artists and what we do check out our website / to enquire about our upcoming studio opportunities please email us at [email protected] 🫶
Need a studio space? Throwing up your arms in frustration? Don’t despair! We have great long-term artist studios coming available at MUD in Mt Wellington, Auckland.
