We’re pleased to share that 9 Wilson Ave, Brunswick has been shortlisted in the 2026 AIA Awards for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing. It’s an honour to be recognised among such a strong field of projects. We’re grateful to our long-term collaborators Neometro for their continued support and commitment throughout the process. @openjournal_neometro @mudoffice @manresaconstructions 📸 @tomross.xyz

BRIGHTON HOUSE by @figr_architecture · a home shaped over decades, this Brighton house continues its evolution · adapting to a new chapter of retired living, family gatherings and time with grandchildren. What began as a small update becomes a thoughtful reworking of a home already rich with history. Rather than starting over, the design builds on the existing character, using it as a strong foundation to guide the next iteration. The result is a calm, generous home that feels familiar, refined and ready for the life ahead. Birch brings lightness and structure to the Brunswick East garden. Their slender white trunks lift the planting composition and create vertical contrast against the fencing and architecture. Beneath the canopy, layered planting and soft groundcovers weave through the stepping stone path, creating a garden that feels both relaxed and carefully composed.
