This week, CommBank Next Chapter Innovation Partner @mudgin_gal hosted a ‘Sacred Circle’ session. This was a trauma-informed, healing-led session that blended cultural practice with practical financial education supporting women’s recovery and financial empowerment.
“The topic is still taboo for many Aboriginal women. We don’t talk about financial abuse, and we don’t really have an understanding of what it looks like and how banks can help us navigate through financial abuse. That’s the beauty of the partnership.”
- Ashlee Donohue, CEO Mudgin-Gal Women’s Aboriginal Corporation

Mudgin-Gal Women’s Aboriginal Corporation sends our deepest love and condolences to Kumanjayi ‘little baby’s’ family, friends and community.
Like so many across the country, we were holding onto hope and praying for this little girl. This loss is heartbreaking.
We are so sorry. We hold you close and stand with you in this grief.
We honour everyone who searched, who showed up, and who will continue to stand beside the family in the days ahead.
RIP baby girl 💔💔💔
Aboriginal Women’s Health and Wellbeing Day 💛❤️🖤
Mudgin-Gal and a group of our women attended this deadly event, coming together to connect, learn and prioritise our wellbeing.
We also hosted a weaving session on the day a beautiful space to yarn, create and share.
Big thank you to Niki Hickey for facilitating ❤️
