Tips, hacks & adventures for a joyful, less-stressful life
š« Your virtual mum BFF
As with everyoneās story, there is so much to ours so I wanted to reintroduce myself to anyone whoās coming across my page for the first time & wondering who is this woman?!
My name is actually Daisy, Iām 36, a mum to two, husband to one š , content creator, Positive Discipline Parenting Coach & virtual mum friend to all.
After 4 years of being āMuddle Through Mummyā I can confidently say itās been such a privilege to know that I may have made even the tiniest positive impact in the lives of women when they needed it the most.
If youāre new here, please stick around for all the inspiration on how to create a magical childhood AND motherhood, because we only get one time round at this too! From after school activities, days out, family holidays, easy recipes, routines & some mundane but oddly comforting content too!
I want to be a safe space and virtual bestie for other mums in the ātrenchesā, whoās also there to give you inspo when you can get your head above water.
Because ultimately parenting is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure so you have to grab it with both hands & hold on for dear life!
And if youāre not a mum but you just like the vibe & want to hang out, thatās more than fine too. As long as youāre kind, everyone is welcome.

Follow me for more savvy family travels!
Iāve had an influx of DMs lately asking about the DIY trip to Lapland we took last year so thought Iād share all the info in case youāre interested.
The package deals for Lapland were coming up as £6,000-£8,000 for our family of four & after lots of research I decided we could book everything ourselves & save a huge amount - so we did!
And spoiler - we saved ££££ās because our trip cost Ā£2,476.50.
Appreciate that is still a huge amount for 3 nights but this is a bucket list trip weāve dreamt of taking for years!
The kids had a random Friday inset day at the end of November at school so we used this as the perfect opportunity to save ourselves some money as it gets alot more expensive in December.
We booked direct flights from Bristol to Rovaniemi (Finland), which is a 3.5 hour flight on the @easyjet website & this cost just £660 for the 4 of us!
We hired a car as an add on when booking our flights, which cost Ā£142.50 & didnāt even use half a tank of fuel as everything was pretty close together.
We stayed at the Vaattunki Wilderness Resort which is in one of the most scenic places near Rovaniemi & just 15 minutes from the Santa Claus Village. Including breakfast & our own private sauna, this cost £845 and I booked this on @bookingcom .
Although this was spectacular, if I were doing this trip again (knowing that we really didnāt spend much time in our accommodation), you can get apartments in Rovaniemi for Ā£100 per night so I would look into that.
We went to both the Santa Claus Village & Santa Park during our visit & I did a full comparison video, which you can find from my Lapland highlight if you want to know my thoughts on that.
I have an entire āLaplandā highlight on my profile if you want more information or to find the activity providers mentioned - make sure you read the captions on my reels because they have all the info youāll need.
Share this with a friend & let me know any questions in the comments.

Anyone else feel like theyāre running on empty lately no matter how much sleep they get? š
AD I always assumed waking up tired was just part of mum life, but Iāve been learning more about the connection between gut health and sleep and honestly⦠it makes so much sense.
One thing Iāve been doing consistently for the past 9 months is taking @symproveyourlife first thing in the morning. Itās a water-based supplement containing billions of live and active bacteria, designed to reach the gut and support the microbiome.
As mums we spend so much time looking after everyone else that we ignore the basics for ourselves, but Iām really trying to prioritise feeling better from the inside out - especially during busy seasons when everything feels full-on.
Would love to know if anyone else has noticed a link between stress, sleep and gut health? Or am I late to the party on this one? š

One thing Iāve really noticed since my son started reading The Week Junior is just how much more curious and confident heās become. AD
Itās not just reading facts, itās the conversations that come from it afterwards. From random questions in the car, to chats over dinner, to hearing his opinions on things happening in the world⦠he always has something interesting to say.
@theweekjunior magazine makes news, science, sport, books, cooking, and so many other topics feel fun, accessible, and genuinely engaging for kids. Itās become such a lovely alternative to screen time in our house, and I love that it encourages children to think for themselves and express their own ideas confidently.
If youāre stuck in that phase of getting one-word answers from your kids, this honestly might help spark some really lovely family conversations too š

Donāt wait until your body forces you to stop. Listen sooner. Slow down sooner. Reach out sooner.
If youāre a mum holding it all together on the outside but barely holding on inside, this is your sign to check in with yourself. You matter too š¤

At what age did you learn to cook?
Feeding yourself (and your family) is such a huge part of being an adult I think this is one of the most important life skills to teach your kids, especially boys who we donāt want growing up just expecting that from a partner.

I woke up & chose peace⦠in the form of pottering around & putting the house back together
Canāt start a weekend with the house like this if you want me to be any kind of patient & present š
