•story time• 📚✨♥️ (through portrait mode): I was an avid watcher of #ANTM - Locked in from the very first season. 🔐 I wanted to model ever since. I wanted to be on the show, I wanted to meet Tyra - was inspired by Tyra at the time. And through the seasons I would have my favorites, but when it came to season 4, I didn’t just have a favorite, I had someone I could truly relate to, and connect with, even with a tv screen between us. • It’s unfortunate that connection was through body shaming. The way the judges would speak about her body was my inner voice. I didn’t have the coke bottle shape that society praised women for having, I wasn’t pencil thin like the model industry praised women for being. I think back then it was something I internalized and was insecure about for a long time. As I’ve gotten to know myself and love myself, and my body more, I realize meeting and working with @keenyah.hill was an experience that healed a wound I had tucked away and forgotten about. ❤️‍🩹 • It’s a work in progress always, but I know who I am now, and I’m so thankful for being able to see a dream of mine coming true and meet someone who inspired me to overcome the BS and keep pushing towards my goals, while being unapologetically me in the process. 🫂🖤🥹 • #loveyourself #modeling #dreamsintoreality #reels
