The third and final stop of Spot The Art Spot takes us to the NYMA terrain — a place where raw creativity, DIY spirit, and skate culture come together. Known for its industrial surroundings and ever-evolving character, NYMA has become a breeding ground for skaters, artists, and makers who shape the space on their own terms.
For this edition, multiple skateable obstacles designed by Pontus Alv are added to the spot — not as fixed statements, but as part of a living, breathing environment. Here, the DIY philosophy takes center stage: the obstacles become an extension of the existing spot, blending into the rough textures and creative energy of the area.
What makes this location unique is its constant transformation. The obstacles don’t stand alone — they become part of the graffiti walls, absorbing layers of paint, marks, and traces left behind over time. As writers repaint, skaters ride, and the space evolves, the objects themselves continuously change along with their surroundings.
At NYMA, nothing is ever truly finished. The spot grows with the community, shaped by use, experimentation, and expression. This makes it not just a skate spot, but a permanent, open-air environment where skateboarding and visual culture merge into one.
As the final stop of the route, NYMA represents the future of Spot The Art Spot: a lasting skate spot where the obstacles are not only placed in the city, but continuously redefined by the people who use them.

For the third spot of Spot the Art Spot, we’re building something permanent together. At the NYMA terrain we’re creating a new skate obstacle against the walls — a place where art and skateboarding meet.
And we’d love the community to be part of it.
Together with @mud.crew we’re hosting a community build day where we’ll shape and build the spot together.
Our new friend @pontus_alv is donating the concrete, and his brand @polarskateco is bringing goodies for everyone who comes out to help.
@mud.crew will provide a safe workspace and all the necessary tools.
And of course we’ll wrap up the session with a BBQ by @waalhalla . 🔥

3rd Spot — NYMA
De laatste spot van de dag. En de laatste contest.
NYMA is een herontwikkeld industrieel gebied waar creativiteit groeit en bloeit. Een plek met een sterke DIY-geschiedenis, waar locals in het verleden zelf skate-obstakels bouwden en de ruimte naar hun hand zetten. Check de foto’s van @mathijstromp op @flatspotmag om die tijd terug te zien.
Voor Spot The Art Spot keren we terug naar het NYMA-terrein — met dezelfde DIY-mentaliteit als uitgangspunt.
Hier creëren we een blijvende skatespot voor de community. De obstakels zijn niet alleen gemaakt om te skaten, maar maken ook onderdeel uit van het geheel van de plek. Ze worden onderdeel van het canvas: graffiti artists kunnen ze meenemen in hun werk, waardoor muren, kunst en skate-elementen visueel in elkaar overlopen.
Zo ontstaat een plek die blijft veranderen en groeien. Een levend kunstwerk dat door de community zelf wordt gevormd.
Dit is de laatste contest van de dag en daarna sluiten we hier af met een BBQ en een party.

The final stop of the day. And the last contest.
NYMA is a redeveloped industrial area where creativity grows and thrives. A place with a strong DIY history, where locals used to build their own skate obstacles and shape the space themselves. Check the photos by Mathijs Tromp on Flatspot to see some of that history.
For Spot The Art Spot we return to the NYMA grounds with that same DIY mentality.
Here we’re creating a permanent skate spot for the community. The obstacles are not only built to skate — they are also part of the space itself. They become part of the canvas. Graffiti artists can include the obstacles in their work, connecting the walls, the art and the skate elements into one visual whole.
This is the final contest of the day, and afterwards we close the event here with a BBQ and party.

Winter is on the doorstep, but the last skateparks of the year are still rolling out. Mud Crew just wrapped up this unique new park in Culemborg! Compact, diverse, and built with features for every type of skater.
We pulled up for a first session during one of the rare sunny fall days and it did not disappoint. 🌤️
