Another new play! This one I’ve been working on with @cass_d17 since 2023 and I’m so thrilled to get it on its feet. It’s dark and twisted and upsetting and deranged. Like Tumblr in 2008. Like being a teenage girl. We’ve got an incredible cast in @nnataliasotoo , @anacmorgan , @jakefornyc , and @ned_bannonn , and I can’t wait for you to see them in action! /calendar-1/crush/slash

Excited that I get to do this with some truly excellent people who were way too ready to match my freak. We've gotten very ambitious with this one and I'm so delighted to get to share it with you! The public! I wrote this play because I'm afraid (all the time) that its the end of the world and that I'm not doing enough. I'm also afraid of people from San Francisco. Come with me on this journey. Let's be afraid together. Ticket link in bio! Sunday, July 27 at 9:30pm 60 min runtime The Tank - 312 W 36th @eis_to_meet_you @akaina.ghosh @jacob.ritts @kurzunski

Another thing about Madison is she will answer any question, case in point x 9, due to a compulsion towards honesty as well a deal with the hollow of a tree she discovered in a daydream. ~~~ Image descriptions: Slide 1: A slide of text: Meet the Playwrights Madison Wetzell Hometown Phuket, Thailand (sort of) What is a play that has inspired you? The Bacchae What is a song that has inspired you? I’m in my Chappell Roan summer. What is your hidden talent? All my bones crack in a way that can’t be good. Favorite thing about Brooklyn College? The friends we made along the way. Also the turtle pond. Slide 2: Meet the Playwrights Madison Wetzell If your Weasel Play was an ice cream flavor, what would it be? Morbidly dark chocolate with birthday cake sprinkles and some awkward silence. Describe someone else’s Weasel play in just three words. Three words on Leslie’s play: Apocalyptic cowboy poetics. What is heaven to you? Rolling around in a bucket of homemade pesto. What is hell? Parallel parking with an audience.
