Today is National Little Free Library Day!
Did you know the Library helps stock and maintain 4 Little Free Libraries around town using community book donations? These little neighborhood book exchanges are designed for readers to take a book, leave a book, and help share the joy of reading with others.
You can find them at the Community Center, Daniel P. Ryan Memorial Field, Half-Acre Park off Cranbury Half Acre Road, and the soccer complex located on Prospect Plains Road.
There's a new Little Free Library in town located at Half Acre Park, off of Cranbury Half Acre Road.
While this Little Free Library is cared for and regularly stocked by Monroe Township Library staff, it is *not* an official branch of the library. Instead, it’s part of a community sharing initiative where books are freely exchanged through donations and are available for anyone to take, read, and pass along. We hope it becomes a fun and welcoming part of the park for everyone who visits.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Applegarth School for inviting us to their Evening of Reading. They did a great job creating a night that celebrated learning, community, and a love of reading. We were glad to be part of it.
It’s National Library Outreach Day!
Outreach is how the library shows up, wherever it’s needed.
From Bookmobile visits with students in aftercare and special education classes, to outdoor storytimes, to home deliveries for residents and new parents, our work is all about connection and access.
We’ve celebrated birthdays from 1 to 103! Thank you for welcoming us into your neighborhoods, homes, and schools. We’re grateful to be part of your community.
NeeDoh? We thought you said ReadOh!
Stop by the Bookmobile or Children’s Desk to pick up a fun bookmark. Thanks @melissacorey for the awesome template!
On April 1, 1989 the Monroe Township Public Library opened its doors for the very first time. 37 years later, we’re still proudly serving our community. Take a look back at the very first days with us!
Huge congratulations to Mia Reiser, Youth Services Outreach Librarian, on receiving the Rising Star Award at this year’s New Jersey Library Association Annual Conference!
Mia was recognized for her innovative and creative work in youth services and outreach, and we couldn’t be more proud. Her dedication to connecting kids and families with library resources makes a lasting impact in our community every day.
