DOUBLE PODIUM IN FERMO! 🤩🇮🇹
A huge ride from Andreas Leknessund, who fought for victory on a brutal day into Fermo, while Martin Tjøtta came up from the chasing group to take 3rd.
After nearly 90 kilometres of attacks and full gas racing, Andreas finally forced his way into the decisive breakaway together with UAE riders Jhonatan Narváez and Mikkel Bjerg after attempt after attempt to get clear.
The race exploded behind on the punchy roads towards Fermo, with the team also represented in the large chasing group through Johannes Kulset and Martin Tjøtta.
Out front, Andreas looked incredibly strong for a long time, but UAE played their cards late. Bjerg emptied the tank before Narváez attacked hard on the second-last climb. Andreas closed it down once, but when Narváez went again, he proved just that little bit too strong.
Behind, Tjøtta attacked from the chasing group and powered his way to 3rd — making it two Uno-X Mobility riders on the podium in Fermo.
2nd and 3rd after a massive performance from Andreas and a brilliant finish from Tjøtta. A huge result in our first ever Giro d’Italia on the men’s side.

Two top 10s on a two-faced day at the Giro d’Italia 🇧🇬
Stage 2 was heavily impacted by a major crash inside the final 25 kilometres, which led to a neutralisation before the race restarted ahead of the final climb into Veliko Tarnovo.
From there, it was full gas. A front trio opened a gap over the climb, but was caught just before the line after 221 hard kilometres of racing.
Martin Tjøtta climbed brilliantly in the finale – “my best climb ever,” he said after the finish ⛰️
Andreas Leknessund launched a late solo chase in an attempt to bridge across to the leaders before sprinting to 7th place, with Tjøtta close behind in 9th from the reduced front group. Strong rides from both, with Johannes Kulset also making the front group and now sitting 7th overall in GC.
Unfortunately, Ådne Holter had to leave the race following the earlier crash with a suspected concussion and an injury to his hand. He is currently at hospital undergoing further checks. A really tough way to end his first Grand Tour ❤️🩹

Tjøtta 3rd on Eastern Mountain – and 3rd on GC!💥
Stage 3 of Tour of Oman delivered the first real GC test, finishing on the 3.4 km climb at 8% to Eastern Mountain after 191.3 km.
Jonas Hem Hvideberg (on his birthday 🎉) was part of the day’s break, which stayed clear deep into the stage.
A crash with around 6 km to go shaped the run-in, but the team came through it well and delivered Martin Tjøtta into the final climb in perfect position.
Tjøtta finishes 3rd on the stage, just 3 seconds down.
A very strong ride on the first summit finish moves him up to 3rd overall – 9 seconds off the lead. The decisive GC stage comes on Stage 5 up Green Mountain.

NEW SIGNING: MARTIN TJØTTA ✍️⛰️
We’re strengthening our climbing squad. Norwegian Martin Tjøtta has signed a three-year deal with Uno-X Mobility Cycling from 2026 through 2028.
General Manager Thor Hushovd believes Tjøtta is ready to take the next step in his career:
“Martin is a rider who deserves to be invested in. After two seasons with Arkéa–B&B Hotels, I believe he can develop into a strong climber with us. With the performance environment we’re building at Uno-X, I’m confident Martin can take big steps forward.”
Now set to return to a Scandinavian setup, Tjøtta is looking forward to the move:
“I’m happy to be joining Uno-X Mobility. I have a lot of respect for the performance staff in the team, and I think they can take me to the next level. Joining a Scandinavian team with friends I’ve grown up racing with and against will also be great.”
After three seasons with Arkéa–B&B Hotels, Martin has raced the Giro d’Italia and Tour de Suisse in 2025 — and impressed at Arctic Race this week with 6th on yesterday’s stage, sitting 7th overall before the final day. 🚴♂️
