Mari Nomura, Sake Sommelier at New York Mutual Trading, has selected Emishiki Sensation White as Free Welcome Regional Sake for “The Sake & Sea Series: Flavor of Kansai” event from May 17 to 21 (lunch & dinner except lunch on May 17). It is brewed by Emishiki Brewery in Shiga where Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan and Hieizan Enryaku-ji, a most famous temple in Japan with more than 1200 years of history & a UNESCO world heritage site, are located. It uses the local rice of which the brewery grows from the seeds and mineral water from Suzuka Mountains for the sake production. “I Love Sushi” she selected for our previous event, “Flavor of Kyushu”, last month was a big hit among our customers and please join us and enjoy her next pick as Free Welcome Regional Sake along with premium regional fish as “Flavor of Kansai”! *For the event details, pls take a look at the previous event post.

Founded in 1902 in Iwate, Nanbu Bijin is known for its elegant yet expressive sake—crafted with mineral-rich spring water and a philosophy rooted in purity and beauty. Mari Nomura, Sake Sommelier at New York Mutual Trading has selected “I Love Sushi” brewed by Amabuki, a local brewery in Saga, Kyushu with the 300 years of history as the regional sake for “The Sake & Sea Series: Flavor of Kyushu” from Apr 19 (Sun) to 23 (Thu). It is brewed using the locally sourced rice from the fertile Saga Plain and complemented by natural spring water from the nearby Sefuri Mountains. We will serve it as a Free Welcome Regional Sake for all the customers during the event (both lunch & dinner except Apr 19 lunch).
