Remember when I said I was about to release work that can cause hallucinations? This is that work: a 5-track EP comprised of a few variations on particular methods of click-play that I have been obsessing over. Super physical music, and one of the most difficult-to-approach things I think I’ve ever put out. An EP that literally continues to ring in your ears after you turn it off. Capable of delivering really beautiful shifting textures and movements over a non standard time scale. Not the last thing I’ll release that sounds like this, as I am deeply in love with the aesthetics and physical qualities of the rapid click and I think there’s still lots to explore. Amazing album artwork by @ipadad03 who hit the nail right on the head with the cerebral insectoid vibe, thank u Quentin :) let me know what yall think abt the release and dm me if u have any notes <3 ily

Titled in series with the few melodic tracks featured on my first album, this is arguably my most “musical” release yet. Based around a complex VCVRack feedback patch I made in a fugue state at 2:30 in the morning and never stopped thinking about. Photo is of and by my eternally talented sibling @murderous_thumb and perfectly encapsulates / demonstrates the primary gesture of the album: FEEDBACK! Third photo is audio envelope graphs from An Introduction to the Serge Modular Music System by Rich Gold. I have waited far too long to release this but I am far too proud of this work to hold it for any longer.

tomorrow (Sunday) evening I’m playing an improv duo set with Nico Daglio Fine (who is not on Instagram rn but is pictured here threatening me with a sword and a hammer) at Brothers Wash & Dry! Already shared the flyer on my feed but I’m putting it in here for good measure. As with basically every show at Brothers, the lineup is a banger and is sure to result in a night of life-affirming music and love. I love sound!!! I love sound!!!
Also included in this post is the flyer for the Box of Moonlight show I’m playing on the 14th (just under two weeks from now). Excited to share the stage with such a dedicated and confusing group of performance artists, many of whom I am dear friends with and who have a penchant for putting on unmissable performances.

hi everyone :) I have a show happening tomorrow (SUNDAY) night at @idiotmachine.nyc , an incredible learning space (home of my synth workshops!) that is mournfully in its last month of operation. All money from the show goes to benefit immigrant families in Minnesota. Pull up and show the love to all the idiots there 💕and empty your wallet for those in need💕 also subway noise was insanely good!! Probably the most fun I’ve had during a 15-minute set. So many wonderful players, so much joy and happiness and friendship. I love noise and noise loves me and noise loves you!
