Too funny not to share (and it may bring up some questions about the race last week). But I flew home early because I needed immediate medical attention for a RAGING sciatica flare up that came from out of nowhere. Go to my pcp for referral for MRI, and I’m still waiting for the appointment.
Anyway, I get a notification there are some changes to my health profile and this is what I see.
I mean, I knew I’d gained a little weight, but had no idea I’d lost almost three feet of height!
Getting old is hell!
Masters World Champs 2026. Fourteen years after the first, I was able to earn another gold medal. So much to say about the racing experience, I don’t even know where to start. And that’s perhaps a longer story for another day.
For me the highlight of this Chilean adventure was reuniting with old friends who feel like family to me now. Also, the natural beauty of this unreal land is unparalleled in my many adventures. And the dogs (always the dogs).
There’s also a volume to be written about meeting new friends on these quests and how that happens. Another post for another day.
For now, I’m filled with gratitude; for those who helped make it happen, for the missteps and follies along the way, and for the opportunities to grow and learn. I look forward to celebrating with each of you next time our paths cross. Until then…

Highlights from last week’s trip to Whistler. Didn’t take a single damn picture of the riding because who has time for that when there’s trails to be enjoyed with great friends? Loved seeing each and every one of you. You know who you are.
Howdy, friends. It’s my semi-annual appearance on your social media feed to apologize for not being a better communicator and person. I’m having a super busy year in the dirt scouting, designing, and building trails with a few projects in Colorado and a few more in Utah. I’ve been filling in the cracks outside (as you might imagine) with adventures, rock shows, bike rides, and a visit to the hospital to keep things normal.
As always, I love seeing pics of you and your beautiful families and hearing about your adventures. And true enough, I still hate hearing your shitty political opinions.
I’ll try and keep keepin’ on; chasing the dream. And here’s another promise to do better keeping up on here. Can’t seem to find my best. One day I’ll deliver.

Man, that was one helluva whirlwind 30 hours. Thanks, boys, for making Monday Night Football such a great memory. And thanks for recreating the scene from 32(!) years ago. We gotta stop waiting so long between visits. Love to you and your families. #grateful
Made another pilgrimage to the Mecca last week and had so much fun riding with friends. We hit this lap for a warm up and I knew the day would deliver. Eternal thanks to this crew of searchers and seekers. Bloodied but unbowed, we look ahead. I love you guys.
