So happy I got to see the Gnoli show in NYC. These paintings from the 1960s look as if they were painted yesterday. Domenico Gnoli’s influence on younger artists of the past 10 or so years has been so apparent.

@abidudley debut solo show in London ‘A Place After a Place’ is a highlight of this spring. The young gifted African American painter with Japanese roots spent months in Italy studying early Renaissance painting which is very visible in her work. Someone to watch no doubt!

I loved the @tate retrospective of @hurvinanderson . He is the first of eight children born in the UK after his family emigrated from Jamaica in the 1960s. Often working with grids and layered imagery, his practice reflects on his sometimes divisive experience of growing up in England while being of Caribbean descent. Blurred memories merge past and present, while recurring motifs—such as fences—suggest borders and clashing identities.
The barbershop becomes a sacred, safe space for encounter and social exchange. Great painting that keeps on giving! Definitely going back to see this show again.

Georgian self taught painter Tamo Jugeli has two shows on in NYC right now @polinaberlingallery@karmakarma9 highly recommend seeing them if you can! What a unique painterly language. In 2025 she had her debut with @gladstone.gallery in Brussels.

Visiting @tracey_emin_artist_residency in Margate was such a highlight and shows what a legend Tracey Emin is. Apparently she looks at every one of around 800 applications herself. Besides the art school like programme TEARS and a shorter residency Victoria House, there is also an initiative to offer free studios to professional artists @tkestudios thank you so much for the tour @elissacray and to all the artists for letting us peek into your studios ☺️
