@suncountryair ’s special edition retro livery made its Minnesota debut today. It’s only the second special livery in the airline’s 43-year history and is dedicated to co-founder Jim Olsen, who passed away last month.

Different season, same mission. The Airport Fire Department completed its summer airboat training this week — open water this time, after logging hours on an ice-covered lake back in January. Year-round training for year-round readiness.
Airport firefighting is its own discipline — aircraft and water rescue, structural fire response, emergency medical services. The MSP Airport Fire Department brings preparation and dedication to every single shift in one of the most complex operational environments.

Today marks the official end of winter operations for the MSP teams that keep our runways clear, safe and ready no matter the hour or what the Minnesota weather decides to bring.

🚌 Ride in. Metro Transit light rail and buses serve both terminals — skip the drive entirely.
☀️ Park under the sun. Head to the top level of the Blue, Red, or Purple Ramp for shaded parking under MSP’s solar arrays. Last year, those panels generated enough electricity to power more than 300 homes. Need a charge while you’re gone? EV charging stations are available at both terminals.
💧 Refill. Dump your liquids at a pour station before security, then fill up at a water station airside.
🗑️ Let Oscar sort it. Our AI-powered waste bins help make sure your trash, recycling, and compost actually end up where they belong.
🛍️ Skip the bag. At shops and concessions, bring your own or just go bagless.
