‼️ This headline is uncomfortable, but necessary.
As an industry, we need to be honest with ourselves. Too often, we mistake short-term cashing in for ambition. We price without strategy, extract without sustainability, and squeeze every opportunity until the door quietly shuts.
December tourism isn’t lost overnight, it’s lost through a pattern:
• Rising costs without value
• Inconsistent experiences
• A mindset that prioritises today’s gain over tomorrow’s growth
True ambition builds ecosystems, standards, and sustainable value.
Greed, however it’s dressed up, weakens and drains the ecosystem.
If we truly want Nigeria to be a serious tourism destination, this is a conversation we must have, especially those of us within the industry.
I understand seasonality and its impact on pricing, but we are pushing it too far.

Today, my heart is full, full of gratitude, wonder, and renewed conviction that vision truly works when you stay committed to it.
It’s been a beautiful mix of rigour and reward.
We’ve faced tough days, countless challenges, and many moments that stretched our faith, but every single one was worth it. Because we’ve seen lives change.
In just one year:
✨ Trained two Foundation Class cohorts, impacting 50+ participants
✨ Launched our Leadership Cohort for team leads & managers (amazing cohort for owners, managers, supervisors and team leads).
✨ Built partnerships with top hotels, restaurants & organizations
✨ Placed 100+ hospitality professionals into reputable jobs
But beyond the numbers, it’s the stories that move me most, seeing young people walk into SAHA unsure of themselves and walk out with confidence, skill, and purpose. That’s the real magic. 💛
