Wild to type that out, but here we are. I am so grateful. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been, married to a beautiful, godly woman, a father to the most precious, radiant 1-year-old and get to turn my passion into my full time career for these past 7 years.
However, All these blessings are nothing compared to the priceless gift of salvation I have obtained through Christ alone. I pray that as I continue to age, I continue to reflect and radiate His goodness daily.
At 1:30am on August 5th, our precious daughter, Mariela Hope Menendez, entered into the presence of our Lord, wrapped in a Peace that surpasses all understanding.
Back in April, during our 20-week anatomy scan, we received the heartbreaking news that our baby girl had a rare condition that would not allow her to survive long after birth. These past four months have been the most difficult season our family has ever faced, filled with countless tears, deep questions, and cries of “Why us?” But we’ve come to see that following Christ also means sharing in His sufferings, and being refined daily through the fire.
Each day brought its own heartache, but God’s grace carried us. His love sustained us. And even in the darkest moments, His presence never left.
So we do not grieve as the world grieves, without hope in a Savior. We rejoice, knowing we will see her again one day. Until then, we carry her in our hearts. We love you so deeply, Mariela. You will forever be a part of our family.
