Aladdin crossed the rainbow bridge last week, on March 9. 🌈 We’re devastated. He was only two years old—this was so unexpected. He spent the last week of his short life trying to heal but he had an acute blood condition that took him from us.
We first met him in an alley in late October 2023. His life was not long but it was full. He had a family. He lived safe, happy, pampered, cherished, and knew joy and love. I hope I served him well from start to finish.
I miss him—our routines. Our little conversations. The comfort we found in each other. I miss seeing the love between him and the other cats—especially with Simon & Toto. 💕 I’ve known this cat many lifetimes. And we will see each other again. 🐾 ✨
My oldest friend is 50! 🥳 🍯 🎂 I’ve had this Pooh since Summer of 1976, but I have always celebrated his birthday on March 14th. He’s been my comfort through several hospitalizations, he’s met so many cats, and saw me through the hard days. He is now retired to a hammock in my room. 14 years ago today, my congenital heart defect was repaired during a complex operation by Dr. Marc Gerdisch. 🙌 My days have been full since then—all 5100+ of those days—I’ve been present and grateful. ❤️ I’ve lived to love people I didn’t know existed then and grandkids that didn’t exist then. I’ve also rescued/helped/homed dozens of cats and other animals. Many dreams finally realized. I also returned to places my soul yearned to see again.
