Global innovation has a Midwest address. NewCold’s expansion in Lebanon, Indiana proves how smart systems and intentional design lead to better outcomes. Advanced automation and multi temperature storage meet the growing demands for capacity, quality, and consistency while an efficient storage to building ratio helps preserve valuable Midwest farmland. #AdvancedManufacturing #FoodAndColdStorage #MSKTD #DesigningFacilitiesThatPerform

Packard Park Hit All the Right Notes. 🎶🛝🏆 Packard Park was awarded the $1M–$2M category at this year’s @bca_fortwayne Excellence in Construction Awards. Through community input, Fort Wayne Parks and Rec guided a redevelopment with that feedback in mind. The piano-inspired theme honors the Packard Piano Company, which occupied the site from 1871–1930. MSKTD contributed to the project through: • Civil Engineering: grading, utilities, stormwater, and site design • Electrical Engineering: new site lighting along park sidewalks Congratulations to all the nominees and winners. And a sincere thank you to the BCA for bringing our industry together in meaningful ways. We certainly experienced the pulse and support the purpose. The music, the food, the art, the fashion, and of course, the cars. Thanks for driving community impact @revindyevent ! It was a night to remember. #🏁

This crew is our extra secret sauce! Sitting at the intersection of people, process, and projects, this team keeps details from slipping, teams from stalling, and the culture dancing. We’re grateful for the ways they show up every day. #HappyAdministrativeProfessionalsDay #MSKTD

Animal welfare comes first. Support for natural behaviors, rhythms, and needs inform design from the very first conversation. But designing for animals doesn’t happen in isolation. Guests want moments that feel close and meaningful. Care teams need environments that offer flexibility for use, facilitate care, and support behavioral wellness. And exhibits still have to work educationally, aesthetically, operationally, financially, and within the expectations of the community. Every decision connects to something bigger. #AnimalWelfareFirst #SupportingNaturalBehaviors #AZAStandards #ZooMasterPlanning #ExhibitDesign

Design is a conversation—not a single step or a box to check. Meet Steve Zabel, MSKTD’s Design Lead. His role is to protect—and strengthen—the client’s original vision as real world factors come into play. As an advocate for design intent, he bridges creativity and execution, so the final building clearly reflects why it was imagined in the first place. 🔗 Learn more in our Design Journal (link in bio) #DesignLeadership #DesignProcess #DesignIntent #Architecture #ClientFocused

The findings from a feasibility study, the reprogramming of space needs for the College of Liberal Arts, and the opportunity to restore the oldest remaining building on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus led to the complete transformation of University Hall. Originally built in 1876 as an open two-story space, the building was enclosed during major renovations in the 1910s and again in the 1960s. Today, it has been brought back to life as an open, light filled, modern gathering space that honors the heritage and history of this iconic structure. Go to MSKTD.com and take a look inside! At Neighborhood Health Oxford, removing environmental barriers meant creating a space that invokes a sense of calm, safety, and trust for patients and employees, so it feels like a place built for them, not just around them. This is why the design had to begin with listening, so the environment itself becomes part of the healing. The team focused on: • Space adjacencies, circulation, and multi-lingual signage • Universal design supporting sensory, spatial, and mobility needs • Culturally mindful colors and materials • Built-in privacy for patients • Options that respect personal preference and individual experiences • Acoustics that soften sound and enhance privacy • Flexible gathering spaces for group activities, health, and team collaboration • Demonstration kitchen for nutrition education • Natural daylighting • Family bathroom with an adult-sized changing table • Employee-only areas to give them the space to connect and recharge Project Team Owner: Neighborhood Health @myneighborhoodhealthfw Architecture, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, MEP, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture: MSKTD & ASSOCIATES Construction: CMa Plus, LLC

What does an engineer do when they realize students don’t have the FE prep tools they need? They build one. At least, that’s what our very own Thomas K. did. Faced with a gap that many people would simply work around, he saw an opportunity to solve a problem just like he does for our clients every day. Go to MSKTD.com's Design Journal and read the story of how one challenge, paired with a little tenacity, became a resource for the next generation of engineers. #ProblemSolvingMindset #FutureEngineers #FECivilExam #FESimulator

🐢 Meet the Aldabra tortoise creep—Little Dot, AJ, Morla, Maud, and Lyn St. James These gentle giants can live for more than 100 years and are listed as “Vulnerable” on the IUCN Red List—which makes their care, comfort, and conservation a big deal. When the Indianapolis Zoo needed to turn an underutilized space into a year-round home for these tortoises, they worked closely with MSKTD to make it happen. The result? A habitat that checks every box—and even includes a proper mud wallow (a tortoise favorite!). What makes this indoor/outdoor space special? • Designed to AZA’s high standards and additional Aldabra-specific care requirements. • Precise control of lighting, temperature, and humidity for year-round health. • UVA light to regulate circadian rhythms and encourage natural behaviors. • UVB light for vitamin D3 production—essential for strong shells and bones. Curious how we pulled it off? 👉 Go to MSKTD.com to read the full story in our Design Journal 🎟️ The Indianapolis Zoo is offering a limited wintertime-only experience to meet the creep.
