Meet Our Industry Speaker: Gaynor Faye
Gaynor is the Creative Managing Director of Rollem Productions, the first independent production company in Yorkshire, with over 25 years experience in creating some of the most relatable and best loved Northern based Drama on TV. Rollem shone a light on ordinary working class people with extraordinary stories, such as Award-winning Band of Gold and Fat Friends.
Gaynor has worked side by side with Kay from an early age and has been involved with Rollem since its conception.
Aside from developing and helping storyline many of Rollemās projects she has also written episodes of Fat Friends, Playing the Field, The Chase and In the Club.
As well as working as script editor and script consultant on these shows and others such as The Syndicate & Girlfriends.
Gaynor leads the creative direction of Rollem, supporting writers and their projects throughout the process as well as mentoring new writers through the schemes run by Rollem.
She has her own writing projects and continues working on those started by Kay, including the recent successful stage adaptation of The Syndicate which she also Directed and Produced.
In addition, Gaynor is a household name as an actor - whether the much loved Judy Mallet in Coronation Street or Megan Macy in Emmerdale.
Sheās just completed a lead role playing āGeriā in a feature film āHot Flashā, and entirely āYorkshireā production highlighting the issues of menopause in a light-hearted comedy - due for release in October this year.
