I’m playing a 45-min set inspired by Blond:ish - think drum-based tech house with hints of Afro house. It’s @polyesterday33 ‘s birthday, and there is a proper lineup paying tribute to artists for DJs as DJs. Seriously one of my favourite shows of the whole year - you get to see us try on a different style, while of course, remaining ever-committed to the best vibes the Grindstone is known for. Saturday is the launch of the Twisted Cherry series at the Faculty. This place is a hidden gem and Tom and Norma book some of the best DJs this city has to offer. Seriously skilled selectors who absolutely love what they do. Grab your girlfriends and come dance - the music will be 👌. I’ll be playing some of my fave vocal 🏠🎶. No 🎟️ needed. Next Saturday, October 19, @changethebeatofficial and Canadian icon Sydney Blu are in town at 9910 with Yelrihs and I on support. This one is really special. Change the Beat is a Non-Profit organization dedicated to empowering electronic music artists, producers, and DJs by providing access to education, mentorship, workshops, and networking opportunities with a focus on women and underrepresented voices. This community is welcoming, supportive, inclusive, and addressing a real gap in the industry. There’s also a workshop in the afternoon at Long & Mcquade Mayfield that’s free to attend!
