At @whitehaven_high , excellence is expected in every part of the band program. This school year, that excellence in the band room translated into greatness in the classroom.
The Class of 2026 valedictorian and salutatorian are both proud members of the @whs_soundsofperfection . Valedictorian Aniya G., a talented piccolo player, is headed to Texas State University, while salutatorian Olivia M. who served as drum major of the band will continue her academic journey at Tennessee State University.

Today, @mscsprojectstand ’s graduating seniors were honored at the 10th Annual Suit Ceremony. Each individual proudly wore professional attire gifted to them by Project STAND. Through this initiative, the program's goal is to prepare students for life post high school graduation and their future journey.
MSCS is deeply grateful for our partnership with Project STAND and their strong commitment to mentoring our students and supporting their success beyond high school.
Today, the City of Memphis hosted an impactful “Know Your Leaders Day” through Opportunity R3, giving young participants the opportunity to hear directly from leaders making a difference in our community.
Dr. @rodrichmond shared insight on leadership, service, education, and the journey that shaped his path. His words of encouragement inspired those in attendance to stay focused, lead with purpose, and believe in their ability to create change.
We are investing in the next generation because we believe in our young people, their voices, and their futures. 💙
