Time is elusive.
Some lessons I’m leaning this solstice:
- Say yes often and no to double that
- Pour into what pours into you
- Let them
- Be curious, learn more
- Dream the big dreams
- The world is bigger & brighter than you think
Had such a lovely time talking to Caro today about her journey into a more trusting and safe relationship with herself.
She went from some challenging internal and external circumstances to a life and a version of herself she is truly enjoying. Over the next couple days I’ll post clips where she shares the steps she took to get there.

A revolutionary movement is brewing. We can reimagine new systems. The time is now.
1. Act locally, politically, and federally. We hold the power to change legislation and decide who represents us. Make our vote count. Make folks listen.
2. Call for political, and community organizing from your friends, family, and affiliated organizations (including your employer). Hold all systems accountable.
3. Do the hw. Who is running, what is the political landscape, what do I need to know to be the best advocate for my black community.
4. Invest in our community. Learn about local, state and federal budgets. How are my taxes being spent? Is it to empower or debilitate my community? Defund and reinvest. Donations to organizations doing the work truly is an investment in our collective future. Reframe the narrative.
5. Reset, and refuel. Make time to refill your cup in order to pour out to others. Find moments of joy and peace.
6. Think big. What could new systems feel, look, and sound like? Bring this question to your community boards, bring this question to your friends and families. Re-imagine.
Creating core memories
Mama’s passing is a reminder that time isn’t always going to slow down.
So doing all the things I’ve said I’ve wanted to with my momma.
