I have some important (and personal) news to share.
After a lot of thought, planning, and excitement, the boys and I will be moving this summer from St. Albert to Greely. My boyfriend Dave and I have bought a house and have decided to blend our families and do life together :)
With this big transition, there will be a few temporary changes to the bakery. We will continue to take custom orders throughout April, May, and June as usual. However, the bakery will be closed for the summer months of July and August while we focus on the move and getting everything settled.
During this time, I’ll also be taking the time to carefully explore what the future of the bakery looks like in the Ottawa area - as this is unknown territory for me. This includes navigating permits and regulations, which are a bit more complex, and figuring out what’s truly feasible and best going forward.
To ease into this transition we will only be doing the Navan markets this market season - so the G-Spot will be going full force lol.
This bakery has been such a huge part of my boys and my life for nearly 8 years, and it has grown into something more meaningful than I ever could have imagined—largely because of all of you. Your loyal support, orders, kind messages, and encouragement have meant everything to me. It's crazy how many of my regular customers have truly become friends over the years. Being a part of so many of your milestones and celebrations makes what I do so worth it.
I won’t lie—it’s hard not knowing exactly what comes next, and I do feel nervous about letting people down. But please know that this is not a goodbye—just a pause and a period of figuring things out.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me. I’ll continue to share updates as I learn more about what the next chapter will look like for M's Sweets Bakery.

This was a fun set, a theme I’ve never done before. It was an archaeology theme with some specific ideas: arrowhead, Dorset mask, petroglyph, a vase or fragment of pottery (Iroquoian or historic earthenware). I felt like I was in high school again doing a research project looking up what these items were lol.
