Connect to your body and release tension with guided somatic exercises and medicine music, held in a trauma-informed space. This is a sacred prayer between you and your higher self. An invitation to breathe, let go, tune in to sensations, move, be free and heal. Shake it out!

About your facilitator: Beca is an educator, herbalist, healing facilitator & artist. Earth medicine, dancing, and music have been an integral part of her healing journey which initiated in 2015 when she began traveling the world studying and living, experiencing a world view shift. Living nomadically until 2019, she learned to trust her inner guide, her intuition, her interoception. Unlearning performance & perfectionism and becoming present & conscious. She brings with her an Afro-Indigenous-centered background, having spent time learning dance, drumming, spiritual & cultural practices in Brazil, Ghana, and Borikén. She has over a decade of professional work in outdoor & international education, teaching social-emotional & conflict resolution skills, and holding space for connecting across differences, celebrating diversity, and peace-making. Her path is to be of service to liberation, love, and the land. Beca has offered her skills in communications, collaborations, and creations for Wild Church since 2024, joined the council in 2025, and was given a leadership role in 2026.

Singing & playing berimbau has opened up my voice & my flow tremendously & I’m so grateful to be able to allow my ancestors to move through me connecting through this deep practice of resilience & resistance, channeling words of wisdom & encouragement, holding space for medicine work & immense healing… hallelujah I am living my dreams! só alegria! viva medicina, viva música, viva capoeira, viva o sapo, the force of the frog 🐸

What an honor and privilege it was to work with @alunalua.angel as my facilitator & mentor in receiving & serving hapé, sananga, kambo and Santa Maria. Her bright light radiates joy, enthusiasm, and pure love. KBB was an incredibly healing and empowering experience that is difficult to put into words. Two weeks of intentional raw plant based fasting, liver & gallbladder cleansing, and limiting beliefs purging, but integration is life long. Luckily the bonds we form doing medicine work side by side & the support we give & receive each other can also last our life times. What a blessing it is to have found a community like Ascension Arts. 🌿

Rosemary has been re initiated into the outside world! She got spayed, essential vaccines, was in recovery mode with cone for 10 days— she was very cuddly & extra affectionate & we watched lots of tv in bed with cozy blankets. Last week she got her cone off & slowly began a new chapter of exploring the patio under supervision! 🪴🐈⬛ y’all I am not kidding when I tell you that she went straight for the rosemary plant in the garden! When I first rescued her I put fresh rosemary twigs inside her basket and litter box— maybe she recognized the scent, or maybe she just felt a pull to the plant… either way, I’m such a proud mama 🥹 at first I had her on a leash but that was not receptive or realistic, but my intuition told me to trust her, and so I communicate to her to stay close by and treat the birdies kindly, and come inside when I call, and she listens. I’m so blessed & honored to have this special connection with my Rosemary, and grateful for our village who helped with procedure costs, donated beds & supplies, and supported with care 💜 I can’t believe it’s been almost 9 months with this sweet baby!

Before Capricorn season ends, I want to take a moment to recognize the beautiful, inspiring, supportive, magical earth angels in my life that are on my team. These humans have been my besties for a decade, two, or my whole life 🫶🏽 My life has changed in all of the ways in this time—from childhood to adulthood, moving to different continents, switching jobs, through the grief of losses, transitions, and rites of passage— you have been by my side. My community, relationships and connections have always been the most precious blessings in my life. I am so grateful because I literally couldn’t survive without my people 🥲 thank you for blessing me on my birthday and every day, for making mocktails & pickles available at my request, for celebrating me even when I don’t feel like celebrating, for visioning & dreaming with me, and being present alongside life’s bumpy road. Laughing, dancing, and holding you truly are the gifts I am most grateful for ♥️✨
