💜 LUPUS AWARENESS MONTH 💜
This time of year is always special to me because my mom, @agarner_1 , hosts an annual walk and gala to raise awareness and resources for those affected by lupus.
I’m the son of a strong mother who’s been fighting this battle since I was 12 years old. She got through the rough parts but Seeing how this disease impacts not only those living with it, but also their families and friends, is something that stays with you forever.
This year, I’ll not only be attending, but I’ve also been given the opportunity to share my perspective. Growing up in a musical family, lupus actually played a major role in getting my attention and pushing me toward music and my career before I even realized it.
Don’t come just to hear me speak …come to learn, give, and support the research and people fighting every single day for a better quality of life.
