I WON!!!!!!!!!! WE WON!!An @officialaudelco FOR BEST ACTOR IN A MUSICAL?! ME?! Wow!!!! I'm over the moon. This is for you, Lola Louis!Thank you to @newfederaltheatre and @noracole400 for seeing the potential in me.Congratulations to my castmates for the sweep in the best actor/ actress category!To be awarded on the same night as @andre_deshields ..... I'm speechless. He is someone who I have studied and who had laid a template for performers like me. I have paid homage to him in many of my cabaret shows. @therealgeorgefaison (not pictured) was also honored in the same night. These men have created a Broadway soundtrack to our lives. Here's a clip from the Savoy 100 Centennial Dinner! What a thrill to have emceed and performed at this outstanding event which celebrated the 100 year anniversary of the Savoy Ballroom! The highlight was that my mentor, Aduke Mickey Davidson was among the list of celebrated awardees . You see her in this video sitting here to the left with dancer, choreographer and teacher Amaniyea Payne to the right. I'm truly blessed to have performed for those who have given their lives to an artform that is cherished around the world!
