My new song “Lions at the Gate” is out now, featuring the incredible Tom Morello.
It’s a powerful track with a powerful message, and Tom’s playing took it to another level.
You’ll find it on Carry The Light, my first album of new music in 16 years, out May 15. I created it alongside my son Julian, which made the whole experience even more meaningful.

I had the joy of writing and producing it with my son Julian and working with some truly wonderful friends along the way. It means a lot to me to share this one with you. The album includes collaborations with Sheryl Crow, Bill Evans, H.E.R., Tom Morello, Graham Nash and Benmont Tench.

The track is a tribute to the late Tom Petty and his SiriusXM show Buried Treasure. The verses are made up entirely of Tom’s song titles, and it meant a lot to have Benmont be part of it.
