Get in. Thoroughly immersed in John Lahr’s profiles of #showpeople, as seen in @newyorkermag over the years. What’s Lahr up to these days? Haven’t seen a peep from him in years.
My mother in the Sixties.
I’m just eighteen years short of her age when she passed. How strange, with death, that she will always remain the same age while the rest of us grow older.
Miss you ❤️
We lost Martin Parr this weekend, the legendary Magnum photographer who documented so much of British life across the class system with stark humour and a discerning eye.
He and his wife Susie were a huge support to me during my first Edinburgh Fringe, at the Port Eliot Festival and beyond. As with all decent documentarians at work, most of the time you wouldn’t even know he was in the room with you.
Rest well, gentle man, and thankyou. Love to the family.
