When I first read Erin French’s memoir, Finding Freedom, I knew I had to meet her. We have so many similarities it’s honestly a little scary, and yet Erin’s story is so unique, I knew I wanted to be the person to bring it to the big screen. In meeting Erin I was also introduced to the love of her life, her husband, Michael Dutton. Their love story is so beautiful and what they have built #TheLostKitchen to become is truly remarkable - one of the hardest restaurants to get into anywhere, with the warmth and cosiness of a family home. Earlier this year I got to Freedom, #Maine and experienced The Lost Kitchen for myself. It was honestly one of the greatest days I’ve ever had.

In the background of my life there’s a guitar. I have a longstanding relationship with this guitar. Once upon a time we played stages and chased dreams…and on October 4, at the Sonic Sleepover in Bremen, Maine, we will be joined by @stumahan to play some songs. Very excited to share a little music!
There is something so special about The Lost Kitchen. It’s all encompassing - the food, the drinks, the landscape, the smells, the sounds… the gift store 😂! I cannot wait to bring Erin French’s story to life on the big screen because visiting Freedom Maine for the first time last week truly showed me how important it is to do so.
