Today, day one, @mrkhconnect exhibited at one of the biggest fertility expos in the UK, @thefertilityshow . For our charity, we gained exposure, held candid conversations, raised awareness, and advocated for the relevance of MRKH Connect. We spoke to curious attendees, medical professionals, fertility stakeholders, and hopeful family makers. Honestly, I’ve never felt so proud of the community we represent, yet, simultaneously, so humbled to offer a nuanced perspective.
So, we took the rare opportunity to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our community friends, to ask YOU a very important question.
So, we want to create a POW-WOW-BOOM-ROAR fundraising event, where Charlie and me (Ally H) can join forces and raise some big bucks, and boost awareness of what MRKH really is.
So, this is over to you! 👇
How can Charlie and me pack-a-punch for our annual fundraiser, and make a mark to ensure the future of MRKH is supported, sustainable, and visible.
We want YOU to choose what happens next!
Ideas: GO! 💜

✨️ NEW RESEARCH ✨️
We are very excited to share this new research from Samantha Stephen who is a social scientist and an MRKHer herself, studying her PhD on the social response in the UK to emerging reproductive technologies such as artificial wombs.
Through a focus group facilitated by MRKH Connect we worked together to revise and discuss the interview questions and share perspectives from different stages, ages and cultures from our community.
This truly is community informed research where the community voices are critical to the outcome yet are often marginalised in such discussions. Favoured far below policy makers but without taking into account the view of those that such new innovations may support.
Discussions matter.
Whether you are not sure if this is for you, never heard of it (but curious) or very interested to learn more, all perspectives are valid.
Research will be in the form on one to one online interviews with anyone in the UK with MRKH. All outcomes will be anonymised. This research has been granted the appropriate ethical approval.
If you are interested to learn more then please email Sam directly where she will share more information also check out the link below 👇

Hands down, ‘disclosure’ is one of the most popular topics within the MRKH community. And this makes sense — it’s a huge part of our lives. Ironically, support is key in healing and recovery, yet, talking about it is equally confronting and scary. Drilling further down, it can be super helpful to ask a set of questions to understand, evaluate, and determine the “right” time to disclose an MRKH diagnosis.
Here are 7 questions, prompts even, to help with the process of an MRKH disclosure. Scroll 👉👉👉to read more.
What have we missed? Comment below - we’d love to hear from you. 💜✨

La tua voce conta! 🌸
Sei invitata all’incontro conoscitivo! 💻

Mother’s Day as an infertile woman hits different.
🎥 Episode 1 of my limited series is out. ⭐️
If you’ve ever felt different, unseen, or struggled with your diagnosis, I hope this episode reminds you that you are not alone. This podcast is a safe space for real conversations about MRKH, womanhood, identity, relationships, fertility, mental health, and everything in between.
See ya on YouTube. 😘
Read my article @mamamiaaus : ‘The Mother’s Day emotion nobody talks about. And why I feel it every single year.’ ❤️
“For the most part, I’ve learnt to ‘manage’ my infertility grief. I no longer leave a room when I hear a baby cry. I have baby-shower boundaries, where I will politely decline or stay no longer than an hour. I’ve not watched the Netflix film, Joy, about the British pioneers who invented IVF.
I am aunt to my niece and nephews, and honorary “Aunty Ally” to my friends’ children (#imnotcryingyourecrying).
But something about this Mother’s Day hit me harder.
Enter: the plan to freeze my iPhone.”
Did I *actually* follow through with my freezer plan, or did I find a kinder way to navigate infertility this Mother’s Day?
Sending love to all those who find this day so confronting. And definitely sending a sweeping permission slip for those grieving on Mother’s Day to do it *your* way. 💖
