Marco Hidalgo also known as Mrk Grim is a DJ and Producer born in the Dominican Republic, and based in Montréal, Canada. He was incredibly passionate about music and the arts from a young age. He started his own Extreme Metal project as a vocalist and songwriter along with local metal heads in Santo Domingo when he was barely 17 years old. He was always attracted to the darkest melodies and melancholy in music that’s the reason for his alias Mrk Grim (Mrk: an abbreviation for his name Marco and Grim: means Sinister, Dark, etc.) and you can feel that in his music. He began his career as a DJ in 2013 and then in 2019 in Montréal, working with various artists such as Atroxx, VIL, Tom Hades, ANNA, Wehbba, and many others he learned the art of making Techno. As for 2020 despite being a difficult year worldwide, he kept working very hard in music production, and after a whole year of countless hours in the studio, his first tracks started to take shape. Giving birth to his first Album and release “Parabellum”. He has released music on labels like [R]3volution Uncoded, Konsequent Records, Modern Minimal, NYXII, and Adrenocrom Records to name a few.
