#StoryTime inspired by tonight’s bday dinner pic…. As most of you know, about 18 months ago I took myself off of social media without notice. The sudden move was just as surprising for me as it was for you. After over a decade of opening myself up to the world, engaging millions of people and pouring into friends, supporters and often time strangers, I realized that I had been around the country preaching community repair and legacy but was skipping some very important steps. Home wasn’t right. My wife @MrsErnestineMorrison and I were smiling beautifully for pictures but we literally were a household divided… And a household divided can’t stand (Mark 3:25). I was pouring into other families but mine was crumbling. In my spirit I knew that, that “was hustling backwards” and I was fake. We were happy IN REAL LIFE 💯 as I would often post. Anybody can make it look good for social media but you never really know what’s going on behind closed doors. During this journey I’ve learned to be still, be present and do the WORK even when no one is looking!! Not for likes, not for peers, not for clout but because what kind of man would I be if I didn’t??? Honestly, Queen and I still have much work to do but as you can see, we are STILL in it!! These smiles are real lol. We’re trusting our God (Yahweh), who’s a Waymaker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper and Light in the Dankness!! MORAL OF THE STORY: Let me leave you with this suuuuper special Bible verse my big bro shared with me a couple days ago. Hebrews 5:8 NLT “Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he LEARNED OBEDIENCE from the things he SUFFERED.” ‭‭ If you’re a son or daughter of God/Yah, don’t trip about what you’re going through. Just draw closer to Him. His Word does not return to Him void. I’m going to stop here for tonight but there’s so much more of my last 18 months’ journey that I want to share with you!!! It’s been AMAZING!! Plan B… I’m not selling my chickens 🐓 anymore!! 😤 I’m going to get a rooster for my hens and fertilize these eggs and make some chicklets 🐣🐣… I realized I was being lazy and FEARFUL of the unknown so I was about to tap out of chicken husbandry. My current chickens 🐥 I ordered in the mail 📦 and incubated in my house. These new ones will be my first experience at natural births aka hatching 🐣 and I honestly didn’t feel like dealing with the learning curve 😂 (weather, feeding them, all the unknowns)… BUT THAT’S THE COST OF FREEDOM… And “Free”dom ain’t FREE! As a 19 year old and 20 something dad I thought that bringing home bags of clothes, diamond earrings and “all the things” was flexin as a father. Peace fam… Here’s a short carousel update  of our latest 4 unit project in Florida that’s under construction 🚧 It’s wild to think I closed on my first property 🏡 in 1999 with my mother giving her $3,000 down payment for an FHA single family. I had no knowledge then, just the cash. 💸 Did my first mortgage loan 🏦 in 2002 as a 22 year old who had to keep a job to stay compliant for ISP (Intensive Supervision Parole) in NJ. My Gram 👵🏾 let me refinance her house and I made $3,300 commission as a loan officer… Then my Aunt Kay let me do hers and I made another $2,900 in under 60 days. That made my eyes 👀 open to the possibilities outside of hustlin in the streets. 💊💉 I’ve taken all type of shots in my business the last 5 years and definitely knocked me down… and quite frankly almost knocked me out. But I have a GRACE and a FAVOR 🙏🏿 on my life that hits DIFFERENT! This phase of my journey is all about BUILDING and using my testimony to tell a story of how much GREATE is He that is in me than he that is in the world 🌎. They tried to paint a picture of me as a “scammer” or thief because the biggest venture of my career hasn’t panned out YET. I admit, I have been successful in my fund this first 7 years but all those accusations are just #TheLiesPeopleTell The truth is I’m a resilient entrepreneur, a pioneer that has taken on group economics at a level most wouldn’t dare entertain and despite the false narratives and out right lies we are building up everything that has been torn down and it doesn’t need to happen in one deal or in one swoop… I respect the grind.   I’m a living, walking, breathing example of STAYING DOWN UNTIL YOU COME UP!
